英文摘要
This internship report provides a detailed account of my practical experience in the design and manufacturing of high-performance plastic molds. The internship focused on gaining hands-on expertise in precision mold design, optimizing production processes, and ensuring quality control (QC) standards in industrial settings.
Throughout this internship, I developed advanced skills in using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, as well as in conducting flow simulations and establishing Standard Inspection Protocols (SIP). These methodologies were critical in achieving defect-free mold production and meeting stringent client specifications. Additionally, I participated in the entire mold production cycle, from conceptual design and material selection to manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance.
A highlight of the internship was a case study involving the design and production of a mold for an iPhone case, which required precision engineering, iterative testing, and process optimization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I implemented innovative solutions to address challenges such as flow resistance, cooling efficiency, and shrinkage control, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
The internship not only enhanced my technical knowledge but also honed my problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in team settings. This experience has provided me with a strong foundation for future endeavors in mold design and manufacturing industries, preparing me to contribute meaningfully to advanced production environments.
