This study aims to examine the effect of perceived AI writing on willingness to engage in international business and to investigate the mediating role of writing satisfaction. With the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (AI), tools such as ChatGPT have been widely applied in English learning and cross-cultural communication contexts. Previous studies have indicated that AI can effectively reduce learning anxiety, enhance language proficiency and writing self-efficacy, and subsequently strengthen learners’ motivation and willingness to use English; however, whether improvements in writing experiences facilitated by AI can further increase individuals’ willingness to accept international work remains insufficiently explored. To address this gap, this study who had used generative AI for English writing tasks. A total of 422 valid questionnaire responses were collected. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0, including descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analyses, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The research variables included perceived AI writing (optimized learning, reasoning and problem-solving, natural language processing, and virtual learning experience), writing satisfaction, and willingness to engage in international business. The results show that perceived AI writing has a significant positive effect on writing satisfaction, and writing satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on willingness to engage in international business. Furthermore, writing satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between perceived AI writing and willingness to engage in international business. Overall, the findings suggest that generative AI not only enhances English writing experiences but may also facilitate students’ international mobility and cross-border career intentions. The results provide valuable implications for education and cross-cultural talent development. |
