實證醫學是將獲得的最佳文獻證據、醫護人員的臨床經驗與患者的期望，三方結合制定出最適合的醫療服務，發揮最大的醫療效能，因此成為臨床醫學上的一種診療手段。本研究使用半結構式訪談法，調查醫學圖書館員是否有實證醫學知能，以支持他們提供相關的服務給讀者，訪問8位現醫學圖書館員，研究結果顯示如下：（一）資訊服務知能中未有太大的差異，但實證實踐與研究知能則發現其差異，可得知不同醫學圖書館對實證醫學的態度不同。（二）MLA提出的六大知能：資訊服務、資訊管理、教學與教學設計、領導與管理、實證實踐與研究、健康資訊專業化，已足夠。
針對研究結果提出建議：（一）了解使用者需求，如：醫學資料庫運用、加強行銷能力與晤談能力。（二）為了滿足讀者的需求，館員就必須隨時精進以及補足所缺乏的知能，並隨著所在的醫學圖書館需求與規劃增進自己，以提供完整的服務給讀者。（三）圖書資訊領域開設一門相關課程，讓同學對醫學圖書館有基礎概念是很好的，課程設計上也是很重要的，故建議增加基礎統計學、實際案例解說以及多媒體課程。

The aim of Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is a diagnostic and therapeutic approach in clinical medicine. This study adopts semi-structured interview method to investigate the competency of medical librarians in EBM to support their provision of relevant services to readers. The research findings are as follows:(1)There is not much difference in information service competency, but differences were found in evidence-based practice and research competency.(2)The six competencies proposed by the MLA：information services, information management, instruction and instructional design, leadership and management, evidence-based practice & research, health information professionalism, that are considered sufficiently.
The following recommendations are proposed: (1) Understand user needs, such as the utilization of medical databases, improve marketing skills, and interview skills. (2) In order to meet reader demands, librarians must continuously improve and supply their deficiency competencies. (3) It would be beneficial to offer related courses that provide students with a foundational understanding of medical libraries.
