As pet ownership becomes more widespread and pet owners' demand for veterinary care increases, traditional pet insurance products are gradually failing to meet diverse needs. This study aims to explore the design of pet insurance and the coverage item from the perspective of potential consumers, identifying key variables that influence consumer choices. A questionnaire survey was conducted, and data were analyzed using correlation coefficients, T-tests, and binary logistic regression. The regression results show that preference for insurance purchase channels has a significant impact on pet insurance choices, significant for both insurance types and coverage items. Additionally, in terms of the influence on insurance type choices, whether the pet owner has previously insured their pet and the pet's health status are significant for some insurance types, while pet diseases have a partial impact on the choice of coverage items.
