英文摘要
Sharing Economyin the Tourism Industry has emerged during the past decade as a new form of business structure. Focus on sharing, exchanging, swapping and renting, this new economy has been brought to light by the success of companies such as Airbnb and it is seen by experts, economists and consumers as the way to alleviate societal concerns such as hyper-consumption, or resource depletion. This study explores the reasons of its sudden success and the impact of it on the population. We investigated the risks of participating in Sharing Economyactivities and considered possible solutions to mitigate, reduce or control these potential risks. We found that the Sharing Economysystem is challenging for policy makers due to the incapability of applying traditional regulation frameworks and that Sharing Economyin the tourism Industry carried risks of trust and security. Furthermore, our research brings us to evaluate that Sharing Economyis not a miracle solution and that it can increase inequalities and be dangerous for the most precarious employments. This Study aims to develop a reference paper for managerial implications and future research on Sharing Economyand its risks.
