1980年代台灣電子產業經營開始萌芽，近二十年來，電子產業之迅速發展維繫台灣經濟成長及榮景，1990 年代新竹科學園區的電子產業，使台灣變成全球電子業巨擘口	中的『精品王國』。 電子產品已是台灣主要出口品。電子產業的迅速發展，已成為台灣產業之主流，且與工業先進國家同步發展。

   近十幾年來，台灣電子產業由單純的組裝代工製造 (OEM，原廠委託製造加工)、ODM（設計代工）創造了台灣科技王國的機運。電子產業之專業代工及積極全球怖局營運，將其因營運所產生之風險趨向多元化及複雜化。台灣幾大電子產業，例如鴻海、廣達、光寶、仁寶等，已開始朝跨越傳統OEM、ODM的代工範疇且朝跨國性、全球化經營，轉型為更具產業競爭力之科技產業。

	由於電子資訊產業積極全球怖局營運導致其貨物之全球物流活動日趨頻繁且複雜，其物流風險愈來愈高。約在十年前，由國際性保險經紀人引進一保險商品全球貨物流動保險 (STP，Stock Throughtput Insurance) ，此商品比由傳統貨物運輸保險及財產保險轉嫁全球貨物物流風險更適合台灣電子產業所需。

   本研究所探討內容從了解 STP之發展歷程、商品本身之特色及保險條款、保險市場運作考量及現況﹑一實際案例近五年保險安排情況及對安排此保險商品之建議，供國內跨國性營運之電子產業在採購STP之參考。

Since 1980, Taiwan Electronics industry has spawn in accelerated speed. In the last 20 years, the Electronics industry has been the main breadwinner for Taiwanese economy. Located in the Hsin-Chu Science Park, the high tech industry has won high reputation from all over the world. Electronic products became the main item of export for Taiwan. Vast and fast development of high tech industry is now the mainstream of Taiwanese economy and growing in simultaneously with other developed countries.

Taiwan Electronics Industry sprouted from less than complex business model of OEM, ODM to the ever-growing empire of Taiwanese technology industry. Professional ODM business model and world-wide operation has diversified its operational risks. Several major players in Taiwan Electronics industry, such as Foxconn, Quanta, Lite-on, Compal, have crossed over from traditional OEM and ODM model and move towards international operation, becoming more competitive in its playing field.

    The diversity of international operation of Taiwanese Electronics industry has escalated its logistic risks. About 10 years ago, a custom-made insurance project has been introduced by international broker. This specific product fits more hand-in-hand for Taiwan Electronics industry than traditional marine cargo and property insurance.

    This report aims to analyze the history, special features of the product, unique insurance terms, and purchasing strategy in current insurance market. Using a specific example with 5-year renewal trend and continuous suggestion in arranging this insurance product, this report attempts to address the possible issues international Electronics companies might encounter whilst purchasing STP program.
