本研究主要目的為探討多種學科領域碩士學位論文參考文獻正確性，利用引用文獻分析淡江大學八個學院中八個系所之96學年度與100學年度碩士學位論文。研究對象共有438部碩士學位論文之21,329筆參考文獻，藉以觀察與比較不同學年度、系所、參考文獻語言、參考文獻資料類型與其各項資料項目、各部碩士學位論文之參考文獻錯誤率與參考文獻錯誤類型。
   研究結果顯示：參考文獻錯誤率方面，參考文獻整體錯誤率為21.68%、八個系所的參考文獻錯誤率介於17.46%至25.11%、八個系所於96學年度與100學年度之參考文獻錯誤率相差介於1.56%至12.00%，中文之語言的參考文獻錯誤率的23.82%較高。參考文獻資料類型以學位論文之參考文獻錯誤率的30.87%最高，參考文獻資料類型之各項資料項目中期刊論文之參考文獻資料類型以頁數、圖書之參考文獻資料類型以作者、學位論文之參考文獻資料類型以出版年與會議論文之參考文獻資料類型以頁數之資料項目錯誤率最高。碩士學位論文之參考文獻錯誤率方面，各部碩士學位論文之參考文獻錯誤率介於2.70%至85.71%、碩士學位論文最高10部參考文獻錯誤率介於60.00%至85.71%，最低10部參考文獻錯誤率介於2.70%至4.76%。參考文獻錯誤類型方面，參考文獻整體數值型之錯誤類型佔51.82%、文字型之錯誤類型佔41.15%，綜合型之錯誤類型則佔7.03%。
   根據研究結果所提出之建議包括：系所加強參考文獻之相關教育、圖書館利用教育課程、圖書館館員提供查證參考文獻正確性之服務、指導教授與口試委員之指導與督促，研究生自我要求與責任。

This study investigated the accuracy of references in multidisciplinary master theses. A total of 21,329 references cited in 438 masters’ theses, by eight departments in different colleges of Tamkang University in the academic years of 2007 and 2011, were obtained for citation analysis. The analyses focused on reference error rates, reference errors associated with different academic years, departments, reference languages, reference types, the items in references, each individual thesis and the types of reference errors, i.e.,numeric errors, textual errors, or both. The results of the study would be expected to take reference errors seriously by academic researchers and to enhance the effectiveness of citation analysis.
    The results of the study reveal that:
    (1)The overall reference error rate within the sample theses was 21.68%. The reference error rates of eight departments were between 17.46% and 25.11%. The reference error rates were 1.56% to 12.00% difference between the academic years of 2007 and 2011 in each department. The highest error rate of 23.82% was cited Chinese references. In addition, the highest error rete of reference type was 30.87% in theses, and the highest error rete of the items in references was page number in journals, author in books, publish year in theses and page number in conference papers.
    (2)The reference error rates for each individual thesis ranged from 2.70% to 85.71%. The highest of ten reference error rates were 60.00% to 85.71%, and the lowest of ten reference error rates were 2.70% to 4.76% within the sample theses.  
    (3)The types of reference error rate was 51.82% in numeric error, 41.15% in textual error, and 7.03% in both of numeric and textual error .
    The suggestions based on the findings of this study are as followed:
    (1)The citation instruction in graduate programs is highly needed to promote better citation behavior in all departments.
    (2)The library provides citation instruction courses and cooperates with departments.
    (3)The librarians provide the service of verifying the accuracy of references.
    (4)Graduate students take the responsibility of verifying the references.
