This research uses in-depth interviews to collect subject of information needs, level of information needs, information seeking channel, barriers of information-seeking in various contexts, and analyzed to present the results. The findings of this study are shown in the following: 1. Medical care and law are important information needs for transgender communities. 2. Mandatory military service information needs and contexts are domestic characteristics. 3. Internet is important information seeking channel for transgender communities. 4. Transgender communities rely on intracommunity communication. 5. The information seeking behavior of FTM and MTF is similar. 6. The differences in interpersonal channels between FTM and MTF. Based on the research results, the following suggestions are made: 1. If you want to provide information to transgender people, you should try to collaborate with transgender communities or key opinion leader. 2. Hope more psychiatry and endocrinology staff will join the field to assist transgender community. 3. MTF and FTM groups should be studied separately as two separate groups in subsequent studies. 4. Research could be conducted on the influence of the transgender community on transgender information behaviors. 5. Subsequent researchers can conduct in-depth research on topics that are important to the information needs of transgender communities, such as health care, law, or daily life. |
